So far so good. I'm enjoying this book. Just wish I had more time to read instead of at bedtime. My eyes have been growing heavy to quickly.

Sorry I can't be there but even though I know I'm usually a pain in the butt having a pain in the butt keeps me away. I did get through the book which at first I didn't think I would. I found it at times a little difficult to follow with all the different characters and the switching back and forth in time. It turned out to be a better read then first anticipated.

I found this painful to read, but still worthwhile. I think it illustrated the old saying, "O what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."

I avoided this book for a long time because of its cutesy title; but I fell in love with it once I started reading. It's a warm, yet unsentimental, exploration of village life before, during and after the Nazi occupation, focusing on individual lives rather than politics.

I found this book to be meaningful, despite the cliched situations and stereotypical characters. The lives of these women resonated with my own. I was surprised, though, that there was no description of the book club meetings or the books read. I guess the reader was supposed to correlate the chapter headings (titles of books) with the content of the chapter.

A delightful tale of funny and interesting characters that come to life through letters written to a young author, Juliet, who decides to visit the isle of Guernsey and is mesmerized by the folks she meets. Nice summer reading!

A good summer read. The book is a bit fluffy and underdeveloped. If you are looking for a book that doesn't require a great deal of thought or emotional response from the reader, than this is a good pick.

The novel is well written; the kind you can't put down. Easy to read. A real human interest story wit ha good ending. Gives a look at how society viewed downs syndrome in the 60's and how love can chance circumstance.

A sad but complicated story, but worth the read. Though you can't imagine that Caroline wasn't the right mother for Phoebe, I really disliked the doctor for not just telling his wife the truth about her daughter..
