As of Monday, February 1st, the Stillwater Public Library will be in Phase 3 of its Pandemic Response Plan.
The library will return and/or advance through phases as outlined in our Stillwater Public Library (SPL) Phased Reopening Plan Following Covid-19 Crisis based on the 7-day rolling average positivity rate in Saratoga County as noted on the NY Forward website.
If the positivity rates meet the following metric for 7 consecutive days:
- At or above 6% – we will enter SPL Phase 3 of monitored visits, allowing only one person in the building at a time due to spacing and foot traffic restraints.
- At or above 7% – we will enter SPL Phase 2 with curbside only delivery of materials and allowing a scheduled 20-minute session on the single computer open to the public.
- At or above 8% – we will enter SPL Phase 1 with minimal staff in the building and any services as allowed by state mandate at the time.
Masks covering your nose and mouth are required as in any other situation today. You must sanitize your hands as soon as you enter the building. Please maintain the six feet of distance while in the building – we want everyone to feel comfortable in the space.
Don’t forget our digital collections are available 24/7 at salon.sals.edu, stillwater.kanopy.com or hoopladigital.com using only your library card! Any questions or concerns you can get a hold of us however you usually do.
This decision was difficult to make, however after conferring with other libraries serving those in Saratoga County, the Board of Trustees agreed this was the best course of action at this time.
