Cost Summary:
Referendum amount not to exceed: $4,404,139 which is an approximate cost of $2.93 per month ($35.18 per year) per $100,000 in assessed value of your home. Projections by R. G. Timbs, Inc based on a 20-year bond.

The library will also apply for NYS construction grants and accept donations to reduce the bond cost.

Ballot will read:

Shall (1) the Board of Trustees of the Stillwater Public Library be authorized to acquire approximately 0.364 acres of real property located at 712 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater, New York, and the existing building thereon (commonly known as the Stillwater Fiber Mill), reconstruct the existing building and site, and acquire equipment, machinery, apparatus, furnishings, and appurtenances, at an estimated maximum cost of $4,404,139, and expend such sum for such purpose; and (2) the Board of Education of the Stillwater Central School District (the District) be authorized to levy the necessary tax therefor, to be levied and collected in annual installments in such years and in such amounts as may be determined by the Board of Education; and, in anticipation of the collection of such tax, issue bonds and notes of the District at one time or from time to time in the principal amount not to exceed $4,404,139, and levy a tax to pay the interest on said obligations when due? YES or NO

Ballots must be picked up at school by 10/4. One can be mailed to you by calling 518-373-6100 (extension 30022) at least seven days before the vote. Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk not later than 5:00 PM on 10/5.
